5 Day California Trip Stay, Eat and Activity Details
As you may have seen on Instagram, my hubby and I recently took a California trip together. We try to take at least one trip without our daughter each year to reset focus, explore together and pretend to be young and free (well, this time we realized we get more tired than we used to...haha).
Sometimes the day to day schedule can seem so heavy. A week before our trip I spilled water on the kitchen floor and found myself almost completely wigging out! Sometimes we need a break from the normal schedule to appreciate the things we are so lucky to have. I’m lucky to have clean water to spill on the fancy tile floor my husband works so hard to keep under our feet. I’m also insanely lucky to have a beautiful daughter who requests anything in the world so that she won’t have to go to bed and upon waking runs downstairs like a 500 ton elephant to kiss me at 6:30am even on the weekends.
That being said, my husband and I desperately needed time to laugh together. I would not label myself a fancy romantic who needs roses, surprise massages or grand gestures. My version of romance is running around new trying to see every site we can and tasting all the best bites. Oh, and with lots of inside jokes and childish giggles along the way!
